Patrick B. Minter’s practice focuses on civil litigation, concentrating primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, professional liability defense, and general insurance defense.
Patrick B. Minter appears regularly in the federal and state courts of New Jersey. A graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program, Mr. Minter clerked for The Honorable Rocco L. D’Ambrosio, J.S.C., prior to entering private practice.
Mr. Minter has participated in the litigation of several cases in the legal malpractice field which have resulted in published opinions including Brach, Eichler, Rosenberg, Silver, Bernstein, Hammer & Gladstone, P.C. v. Ezekwo, 345 N.J. Super. 1 (App. Div. 2001); Charter Oak Fire Ins. Co. v. State Farm Mut. Auto Ins. Co., 344 N.J. Super. 408 (App. Div. 2001); Vastano v. Algeier, 178 N.J. 230 (2003); Hernandez v. Baugh, 401 N.J. Super. 539 (App. Div.2008); and Marrero v. Feintuch, 418 N.J. Super. 48 (App. Div. 2011).
Named to the list of NJ Super Lawyers for 2024, Mr. Minter has been consistently named to this list since 2011 marking 2024 as his fourteenth consecutive year. Mr. Minter lectures regularly for New Jersey’s Institute for Continuing Education and co-authors an annual program entitled “Avoiding Legal Malpractice.” Additionally in 2016 Mr. Minter became a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
Mr. Minter is the former Chairman of the Morris County Chancery Practice Committee, the Morris County General Equity Mediation Committee, and the District X Fee Arbitration Committee. Mr. Minter currently serves as a member of the Morris County General Equity Mediation Committee.
